Why it costs what it costs.
The free part is not a demo
Your flight log, imports, passport, live times and gates for your own flights, live aircraft worldwide, airport maps, lounges and transit are free. Your first flight gets the paid flight features too, until it lands.
Plus pays for live flight data
Boards, forecasts, alerts and disruptions come from licensed data that charges for every lookup, and Squawky AI from a model that charges for every answer. Plus covers those.
Pro pays for the heavy lifting
Rebooking searches and an aircraft's full day cost the most each time you use them. Pro is priced for people who use them, not spread across everyone.
Invite friends
A free week for every friend.
Every account has an invite code and a link, in Settings → Plan → Invite friends. When a friend joins with your code and buys their first monthly plan, you earn a week. There's no cap: weeks stack, one per friend.
The week arrives 7 days after their purchase, and not at all if it's refunded in that time. Free trials, yearly plans and lifetime purchases don't earn a week. Codes work for new accounts only, and never your own. If you already pay, your week starts after your current period ends.

How do I cancel?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Squawk. In the app, Settings → Plan → Manage subscription gets you to the same place.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to stop the next charge. You keep the plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Apple takes every payment, so refunds go through Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We never see your card or your payment, so we can't issue refunds ourselves.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Yearly plans start with 7 days free. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged to your Apple Account and the plan renews each year after that. Monthly plans and lifetime purchases have no trial.
What stays free?
Free means free for good, with no card and no time limit:

On Free the log shows your last 365 days of flights and keeps every older one, ready for Plus; the watchlist follows 1 flight at a time. Your first upcoming flight gets the live features from Plus and Pro free, until it lands.
How does Family work?
Family gives everything in Pro to you and up to 5 others. It uses Squawk's own invites, not Apple's Family Sharing, so anyone with a Squawk account can join: invite a friend by their handle, or share a one-use link. Invites expire after 14 days.
Each person can be in one family at a time. Remove someone and their access ends at once; anyone who leaves or is removed can rejoin the same family after 30 days. If the plan lapses, everyone's Pro stops with it and comes back when it renews.
Is there a student discount?
Not at the moment. The free plan already covers the log, live times and gates, the passport, the live map and airport guides, your first flight gets the paid flight features free, and every yearly plan starts with 7 days free, so you can try the rest before paying.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, from the plan screen in the app. Plus, Pro and Family are levels of one App Store subscription, so moving up counts as an upgrade: Apple starts the new plan straight away and credits what's left of the old one. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal.
Why is the price different in my country?
The App Store sets the price for each country and currency, local taxes included. The figures on this page are US prices; the app always shows your own price before you confirm anything.
