The short answer

Squawk or Flightradar24?

  • Squawk is for you if

    • You're the one flying: your trips in one list with live times, gates and terminals, free, plus delay forecasts and the inbound aircraft
    • You want the airport covered too: terminal maps, lounges, and trains, buses and ride apps into town
    • You still want a live map of every plane in the sky, free and without ads
    • You want a flight log, a passport stamped for every country and a year card, right in the app
    • You want a live link for whoever is picking you up
  • Flightradar24 still makes sense if

    • You want the deepest live map: satellite coverage, 3D, AR and years of playback
    • You want professional weather layers, charts and data like squawk codes and airspeed
    • You use Android, Wear OS or the web

Questions

Squawk and Flightradar24.

Is Squawk a Flightradar24 alternative?

For travellers, yes: Squawk keeps your own flights in one list with live times, gates, forecasts and the airport around them, and it has a free live map of every aircraft too. For aviation fans who want satellite coverage, professional weather and years of playback, Flightradar24 goes deeper.

Is Squawk's live map free?

Yes: every aircraft in the air, worldwide, on the free plan. Squawk Plus adds the schedule's times and gates on the aircraft card, and weather layers.

Can I bring my MyFlightradar24 flights?

Yes. Download the CSV from my.flightradar24.com's export page and import it in Squawk's Settings, once the site is back from maintenance.

Does Squawk have ads?

No, on any plan. Flightradar24's free app and website show ads; any paid plan removes them.
